Clicking on the "Try again" will cause it to succeed in pulling one of the tuners form the X1 DVR elsewhere in the house. XB6 in bridge mode connected to a Ubiquiti ER I have two Ubiquiti Wi-fi access points, one directly connected.
The other is at the opposite corner of the house. There's a pair of MoCA adapters in the mix that allow me to extend the home network's Ethernet to opposite corners of the house. However, after the Xi6 is idle for about a day, it will seemingly drop the connection and give the XRE error. Anyone have this type of configuration working?
Xi6 connected via WiFi or Ethernet with their gateway in bridge mode? Especially since the Xi6 is the same box used for the Flex service and we can also use the Xfinity stream app to watch our cable channels without pulling a dedicated tuner off the X1 DVR. Seems more like a restriction due to the potential for varrying home network configurations than anything technical.
Go to Solution. Since I haven't seen any replies as of yet, I continued to do some research and came up with an answer on my own:. It is not likely going to be a supported configuration though. My original configuration had a pair of MoCA adapters that I was using to extend my home network from the basement up to the 1st floor.
My XB6 gateway is in bridge mode. The Xi6 worked over either WiFi or Ethernet, but after being in standby mode for about hours, it would give me an XRE error. What appeared to be happening was the MoCA adapter s were dropping off from the X1 DVR box in the MoCA network because there was no traffic to it and they were already paired with each other. I opted for the later option and now have Ethernet throughout for the data networking and use a single MoCA adapter to pair to the X1.
The end result is that the Xi6 works just fine, and has been stable for the past week in this configuration.

Just got the xi5, about to install.I've been running through a load of different threads, but I haven't found one single person with the Ignite TV box that I have; the Xi6-T box. Everyone keeps noting that they have the Xi6-A, but not the 'T' model. In any case, I've tried syncing my Xi6-T box to my Harmony remote and it's completely failing; no responses, no controls sync, nothing. I've tried the following devices:.
I've also tried manually syncing and mapping buttons Any help would be appreciated! Go to Solution. You are certainly correct. I have placed my hub on top of the Ignite box and can confirm that the remote is now working as intended.
View solution in original post. Is this an Xi6 made by Technicolor? In any event, with DFS capability, for those users who run this box in a crowded 5 Ghz wifi environment, this give them the ability to run in the middle 5 Ghz band and possibly use Mhz channels if the XB6 supports DFS and Mhz wide channels. I can't find any other information on the "Pegatron" variant of the Xi6.
The Xi6-T was submitted for certification at roughly the same time as the Xi6-A, so they have both been around for a while.Onlc security reviews
You would also think hope? The only other frequent comment about using Logitech remotes and the Xi6 is that you need to have the remote or IR blaster pointed directly at the Xi6. I sat directly in front of it as well and literally nothing from any button at all.
When you programmed the Harmony did you start "fresh" or add it instead of the Bell box? Perhaps try from scratch.Xfinity Flex 4K Streaming TV Box Review - Reasons You Should and Should Not Get This Free Device
You say everything worked when with Bell but does the Harmony control the equipment properly now other than the Rogers box? What other equipment do you have besides the TV? I havent set up a harmony with a hub before, but the hub is using IR to the boxes? I would think it should be the same as just the remote. Which i have tested and worked with the comcast X1. But that may be with the earlier model box? I am not home, but guessing I have the A as I was an early adopter Dont know if it changed for a later revision maybe.
The Harmony Companion remote itself has no IR control. The only IR control can be done from the hub itself or IR blasters that plug into the hub. The Harmony Companion is kind of a stripped down version of the Elite. This topic has been closed to new posts due to inactivity.

I did that, set up my Orbi, and my devices saw the new router. Problem is that I did not have an internet connection. I was on the phone with Comcast for 2 hours while they tried all kinds of things. Finally, they said they could not help because my modem was working properly and had a signal, so since I was using a 3rd party product, they could no longer help. I had to have them disable bridge mode to get internet back up.
Does anyone have suggestions? Should I forego this method and keep the Xfinity up as a router and have the Orbi run off of it?
In that case, I would more or less have 2 routers, correct? I am at a loss and don't what to do at this point. I also saw something about setting up Orbi as an Access Point. Confused at this point!! Thanks for any help! If you were able to setup the Xfinity modem in bridge mode, then your Orbi should have picked up an IP address. This is a silly thing to ask, but did you check to make sure that your ethernet cable from the Xfinity modem was plugged into the yellow WAN port on the Orbi Router?
Also, make sure you have Xfinity turn off the xfinity hotspot feature on the modem. You don't want the wireless signal from your modem interfering with the Orbi. Even in bridge mode, Xfinity keeps that feature on.
Yes, I was connected from the Xfinity modem ethernet port 1, that's what port Comcast said I should use and connected it to the yellow port on the Orbi. Do you have to have Xfinity turn off the hotspot feature? All of my devices could see the new Orbi router, but just no internet connection. Strange that you weren't getting the internet to work with the modem in bridge mode. My only suggestion would be to try again, but this time don't power on the Orbi until the Xfinity modem finishes initializing in bridge mode.
Once it is ready, turn on the Orbi and see if it connects. I have an Xfinity modem in bridge mode, with the hotspot turned off. The reason I had it turned off was because it sits right next to the Orbi router. I did not want the radios to interfere with my Orbi network. So, unless you connect to Xfinity's hotspot at home, I don't see why you should keep it on.
Do you have to turn it off? It is up to you, but it couldn't hurt.Versa bands walmart

I've used the xfinity IP driver and it worked great. Works fine on the xi6, have several up and running. The bigger issue is the xi6, honestly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro. Yes I'm aware of what box they are talking about and my answer stands, I've used the Xfinity IP driver and it worked perfectly.
Hello guys, when adding the Xfinity X1 IP driver, these are the instructions which worked great for the X1 boxes but how do you do it on these remotes that don't have the same buttons This will pair Control4 with the STB.
Mine came with an XR15 which still has all the required buttons. Honestly every xfinity remote I've seen has an xfinity button as well as arrow keys for up and down. Interesting, mine came with the xr15 like I said. If you have other xfinity boxes can you pair one of those remotes with your xi6 so you can get into the set-up menu? Thank you everyone for all of your help.
Looks like I'll be heading to the Xfinity store and begging for a XR15 remote. You can post now and register later. If you have an account, sign in now to post with your account. Paste as plain text instead. Only 75 emoji are allowed.
